We make our wax melts for our Pick n Mix Wax Melts Advent Calendar from sustainable, biodegradable or recyclable materials. We use as much biodegradable and recycled materials as are available to us in everything we do. It is a never ending pursuit. All of our fragrance oils are also phlalate and pareben free.

Why use soy wax?

Soy wax is a common, sustainable vegetable wax made from the oil of soy beans. Soy has many uses but most commonly relating to vegetarian and vegan diets . After harvesting the soy beans, they are cleaned, cracked, de-hulled, and rolled into flakes. The oil is then extracted from the flakes and hydrogenated.
There are various reasons we use soy wax for our main candle wax. Some ethical and some practical. 1. Soy beans are a naturally renewable source and are Eco-friendly. 2. Soy wax burns cleaner and for longer with a cooler burning temperature. 3. Soy wax is non-toxic due to the nature of it’s extraction.
