We have an entire section of our workshop dedicated to making tealights. Currently we offer our coconut wax tealights in just 2 sizes. Our standard aluminium tealight cups and our standard poly carbonate clear tealight cups. However, our Soy Wax Tealights come in 4 different sizes. Perfect if you are looking for a bigger and longer burning tealight.
Each Standard Natural Coconut Wax Tealights holds approximately 14g of the finest quality pure coconut wax and burns toxin free for 3-4 hours. They are perfect for bath times, or many bath times!
Clear cups hold around 18g of wax and burn for 4-5 hours.
What is coconut wax?
We use Coconut wax because, like soy wax it is a perfect alternative to paraffin wax. Paraffin wax is used by high street brands around the world because it is cheaper then vegetable wax. Sadly, paraffin wax is a by-product of the petroleum industry so it is not something you really want to burn. Definitely not if you are aiming for a cleaner and more natural lifestyle. Like soy wax, coconut wax is created by hydrogenating pure coconut oil instead of soy beans. The process of hydrogenation removes the coconut scent from the oil so you cannot smell coconut like with the oil which is used for cooking and cosmetics.
